This tutorial follows the Pango landing-page exercise in angular-senior-showcase. The goal is not to paste generated React markup into Angular; it is to translate the design into a responsive, maintainable Angular page that uses the supplied furniture photography and the existing project conventions.

1. Inspect the handoff before coding

Start from the shared Figma frame link. Confirm the target frame, its dimensions, major sections, available variables, and image assets. The Pango desktop frame is 1440 pixels wide and contains a hero, benefits, featured products, two editorial sections, testimonials, and a footer. Use the frame screenshot as the visual target, not as an image in the application.

2. Create a standalone Angular page

The route uses a focused standalone component. Angular’s NgOptimizedImage handles static assets with explicit intrinsic dimensions, while OnPush keeps change detection predictable.

@Component({
  selector: 'app-figma-to-component',
  imports: [NgOptimizedImage],
  changeDetection: ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush,
  templateUrl: './figma-to-component.component.html',
  styleUrl: './figma-to-component.component.scss'
})
export class FigmaToComponentComponent {}

3. Build the hero with semantic markup

Use a header for the brand/navigation and a single page-level heading. Treat the background photograph as decorative when it adds no information, and keep the search control labeled for assistive technology.

<header class="hero">
  <img
    class="hero__photo"
    ngSrc="/assets/pango/hero-source-1.jpeg"
    width="4000"
    height="3000"
    priority
    alt=""
  />
  <div class="hero__content">
    <h1>Make your interior more<span>minimalistic &amp; modern</span></h1>
  </div>
</header>

4. Translate the layout into responsive SCSS

The source design uses overlapping and absolute coordinates. Recreate the same visual grouping with CSS grid and flexbox where possible, reserving absolute positioning for the hero overlays. At tablet widths, move the benefits into a single column; at mobile widths, collapse navigation and let product and testimonial cards scroll horizontally.

@media (max-width: 980px) {
  .benefits__inner { grid-template-columns: 1fr; }
}

@media (max-width: 700px) {
  .hero__content h1 { font-size: 42px; }
  .editorial__inner { grid-template-columns: 1fr; }
}

5. Keep real assets local and accessible

Download the design’s actual images and SVGs into public/assets/pango, use those local paths in the Angular template, and provide meaningful alternative text for informative images. Do not leave temporary Figma asset URLs in runtime code. Decorative imagery should use empty alt text.

6. Verify against the design

Compare the rendered page with the Figma frame at desktop and mobile widths. Check content hierarchy, spacing, crop positions, navigation, keyboard focus, and reduced-motion behavior. Run the Angular production build before considering the page ready.

Key takeaway

A Figma handoff is a specification to adapt, not a code dump to paste. Angular structure, responsive layout, accessibility, and exact assets all need deliberate implementation and review.
